Shortly after arriving at Spira, Tida joins Summoner Yuna's pilgrimage and destroys Sin. Player character Tida, a waterball star, finds herself in a different world, Spira, after her hometown of Zanarkand is destroyed by Sin. Set in the fantasy world of Spira, the game tells the story of a group of adventurers who embark on a journey to defeat the destructive monster "Sin".
